Aimee Van Dyne

Local Folk-Americana singer-songwriter Aimee Van Dyne is a two-time John Lennon Songwriting Contest Finalist in both the Country and Folk categories and the International Acoustic Music Awards Runner-Up in the AAA/Alternative Category. Her seven-piece band features local legend Terry-a-la Berry on drums, Andy Gordon on pedal steel guitar, Fran Tokarz on bass, and Jim Caron on violin, who deliver a mix of country-infused originals and Americana classics, amplified by the powerhouse vocal trio of Chantell McFarland, Lara Tupper, and Vicki Alibozek.

Originally from New York City, Van Dyne has performed at venues such as The Bitter End, The Living Room, and Rockwood Music Hall. Her compositions, praised as “songs of durable beauty and intricate craftsmanship” (Alan Young, Lucid Culture) reflect influences such as Neil Young and Lucinda Williams, and are characterized by strong melodies, catchy hooks, and 3-part harmonies. Van Dyne’s new 11-song album, “Broken Love Songs,” has been aired on over 100 radio stations nationally and abroad, and has had the distinction of being included on the Alt-Country Chart, the FAI Folk Chart, and The Roots Music Report’s Americana-Country Album Chart. Van Dyne is also a former architect, a mom, and an avid supporter of the Berkshires music scene.
