The origins of the AlgoRhythmics and be traced back to 2000 - 2001 in the quaint village of Kent, more specifically a small record store called Colonial Records where most of us met for the first time and were brought together by our mutual love and appreciation for all kinds of music.

After embarking on our own individual musical journeys, we all stayed in touch and frequently got together for one-off jams while always teasing the potential of creating something more permanent.

Fast forward to a meeting in 2016 between Hal, Rory and myself where it was decided that we should pay tribute to the music we love by assembling a group of our friends to play...well, just about anything.

You will know the music we play, but might not expect to hear it.  While we cover artist's music ranging from The Beatles and D'Angelo to Frank Zappa and Steely Dan, our shows are more of a finely crafted playlist instead of overplayed top 40 hits you would hear on the radio and our arrangements are as challenging to play as they are enjoyable to listen to.

Rory Dolan plays drums and arranges our music.  His inimitable style is the driving force behind the 18 year long career of Lespecial.  www.lespecial.net

The rest of our group has Dillon Morrison-Halas on Bass, Scott Bricher on Keyboards, Melanie Scibilia on lead vocals and me, the amazing Sam Hopkins on sax, and me - Tobias on rhythm guitar.
